Do you ever have one of those days where you walk out your front door and see a ton of ash flying through the air? No? Just me? Ugh, I tell you what, California is literally on fire. As I was walking out of my parents house to go shoot these pictures, I couldn’t believe how much ash was flying through the air and how orange the sky looked. So if you all are wondering how I got this great, tan/glow, it is from the smoke covering the sun and sky.

Now moving on. Considering it is officially September I am going to act like summer is coming to an end. Sadly it is still scorching hot where i’m from and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight. Although I will take any chance I get to introduce some fall colors to my wardrobe. It is no secret that I love bright colors, especially orange. So for today’s outfit I decided to add in a pop of orange.

I found this dress at Kohls a few months ago and have been obsessed with it ever since. I added this orange purse and these adorable black heels to create this look. I will definitely be wearing this to work more often. Hope you all have a great day today and don’t forget to pray for our firefighters fighting all these fires.

God Bless!

What a whirl wind it has been the last 6 days! You know it was a good trip if you feel like you could sleep for a week straight once you get home. I had an absolute blast at LuckyFABB this year! Although the panels were not as good as they have been in previous years, I had an amazing trip for other reasons. I got to see all my amazing blogger friends, I got to meet people I have only talked to on Twitter and I made new blogger friends. Every year Lucky Magazine hand picks about 300 of the best fashion and beauty bloggers and every year I anxiously await to find out if I am one of them, well for three conferences now I have been included in that 300! I feel so blessed to be in that category, you don’t even know!

This year we got to hear from some pretty important people in the fashion industry. Sophia Amoruso is the CEO of Nasty Gal, an online women’s clothing store that is taking the shopping world by storm. She has a book coming out May 6th and is even in the works to open a few store fronts. She is truly inspiring and has faced so much yet still manages to be one of the best CEO’s to work for! Nicole Richie was funny to hear speak. She mostly talked about her garden and I was sad, I wanted to hear more about her jewelry line or her clothing line. Oh well maybe next time! Coco Rocha was AMAZING! She is an incredibly inspiring woman! She not only is one of the most sought after super models, but manages to keep a well rounded head on her shoulders and stays humble through it all! She has no problem admitting that the only reason she is skinny is because of genetics because she likes her cheeseburgers (LOVE IT!). She is just a really down to earth, sweet person and I love her for that! We more of that from todays models!

I absolutely loved my outfit for the conference! I found it the week before, which I do not recommend waiting that long to shop, ever! However I was so strapped for time it happened that way. I found this dress at Anthropologie from Peter Som’s collection and can I just say how amazing it is…. Like seriously! PERFECT! I added a cute pink sweater from Kohls and topped it off with some heels from Aldo and a necklace from Vera Wang! Hope you all have a wonderful night!

Thanks for reading! XOXO

If you were to ask me what my favorite accessory is my answer would be easy, SCARVES! I own too many however can’t turn down a great steal on a perfect new one! I even have a wall for them in my room! I love how they can take an ordinary outfit and give it a little something extra. I found these adorable Mother Denim minted pants at Helen & Louise on super sale! They fit like they were made for me.  These shoes were too perfect! I found them at Kohls, Vera Wang sure knows how to design! Now I don’t shop at Abercrombie anymore because of their ridiculous statements saying that only size 0’s should wear their clothes, but I found this sweater on clearance YEARS ago and loved it. You couldn’t pay me enough to shop at A & F ever again. You don’t even want to get me started on the Abercrombie situation, I would encourage everyone to not shop there as well, simply unacceptable! Anyways! Loved this outfit for a day of shopping with my mom!
