Whew, a new post!! YAY! I have to tell you, i’ve been trying to keep my sanity over here lately. While blogging is not my full time job, it does require quite a bit of my time and while I LOVE blogging the last two months I needed a break. So I took it. I am thrilled that I have taken the time I needed and am ready to start back posting on a more regular schedule. So what better way to come back than with quite a few new posts, including this blue dress?! Woohoo! I’m pretty excited about it.

If you’ve been following my blog since the beginning of this year you have seen some awesome posts about my Fit Journey. Well i’ll update you more on that in a few weeks but right now, let’s talk about how stoked I am that I fit into this dress. My mom called me one night while I was volunteering at church and told me to come out to the parking lot. My heart raced, I had no idea what she was doing at church at that moment. I came outside and she was sitting in the car with a bag. This dress was in it. I opened the bag and fell in love immediately but was so sad to see it wasn’t my size. I looked at her and told her, it’s too small. She said, well just try it. So I took it home with me.

That night I tried it on and called my mom in tears. She barely answered the phone before I screamed, “It fits!!!” She laughed and told me that she knew it would. I had no idea I had lost enough weight to fit into it. She found it at Kohls and couldn’t pass it up. I’m so glad she didn’t! It’s my favorite dress!

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday! God bless!

Like I mentioned in my last post, getting caught up from vacation has been less than easy. I never realize how many projects I am involved in, until I take off work and don’t do any of them. I am happy to be back and already gearing up for another trip coming very soon. While on the East coast, we made it a point to visit as many states as we could. When you’re from California you have to maximize your time. That being said, throughout the vacation we visited 6 states! Can you believe that?? I’ve always wanted to visit Rhode Island and finally I was able to. While we were there we went to Newport to visit the Breakers.

If you aren’t sure what the Breakers are, they are a group of mansions that sit directly on the Atlantic Ocean. They are huge, gorgeous and truly impressive. What I didn’t know is that a college sits right in the neighborhood and used a lot of these mansions as meeting halls. It was truly remarkable to see the Vanderbilt mansion among so many others. Also, it was FREEZING. So if I look incredibly cold, I was. I decided to take the casual approach since I was on vacation and all. I paired my favorite skinny jeans with some knee high boots and a very warm coat. I added an orange scarf and was really glad I did. When we started walking around the mansions I was completely numb. Thank goodness for scarves. So glad I was able to see so many beautiful places.

I hope you all have a great day! God bless!Cursive Signature

So I have to tell you, I am not one of those people who travels far and wide to find my size in a certain clothing item. Well i’m¬†normally¬†not that person. However, after you lose quite a bit of weight and you go shopping for the first time, you tend to lose your head. I was so excited to be able to finally do some shopping after not buying barely anything for the last two months. I found this TopShop top at Nordstrom in LA a few weeks ago and was beyond excited that for the first time ever, I was able to fit into something from TopShop! I found it at a Nordstrom near Pasadena and unfortunately they were out of my size. My dad was so gracious to drive me 45 minutes to the next nearest Nordstrom so I could buy the top. Talk about a contender for Father of the Year!

This journey has been so crazy and purchasing these pants was another win for me, personally. I found these at Old Navy and was so excited that they fit! I added a pair of black pumps and one of my favorite Tory Burch Robinson totes. Of course I couldn’t forget my nude colored blazer. I wear this outfit to work all the time and love how professional I feel and look.

I hope you all have a wonderful next couple of days. I am vacationing in the North East this week and can’t wait to explore all the beautiful sights. Feel free to shoot me recommendations of things I just HAVE to see! Also, a big happy birthday to my sister, Stephanie today. She turns 30! God bless!
