┬áSo sad that this is my last outfit post from my vacation in Texas. Although while editing these photos I could feel the humidity all over again. It was something else. I’ll take my dry California heat any day. I say that as today it was 108 degrees. I was so excited when I found out that we were going through Amarillo, Texas on our way home. You see Cadillac Ranch is there and I have wanted to see it ever since I was a little kid. It was pretty overwhelming when we walked up, as there was an overwhelming smell of spray paint. However it was still a sight to see. From all the pictures in magazines it always looked like it was out in the wide open space. Come to find out it is actually in the middle of a corn field.

I just knew I wanted to wear another pair of cowgirl boots for this post. I mean when in Texas, right? I knew this was the perfect pair. Although I was struggling to find what shirt I wanted to wear with it. Luckily my mom saved the day and let me borrow this top. It was lightweight and flowy, which with that heat, I was all about it. I was so excited to finally be able to check Cadillac Ranch off my bucket list. Although i’ll be honest, I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t more to see in Amarillo. At least we sure couldn’t find anything. But I did get to eat at my first Fuddruckers, so there’s that!

I’m already planning my next trips in the next couple of weeks and I couldn’t be more excited.

Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday! God bless!

Whew, a new post!! YAY! I have to tell you, i’ve been trying to keep my sanity over here lately. While blogging is not my full time job, it does require quite a bit of my time and while I LOVE blogging the last two months I needed a break. So I took it. I am thrilled that I have taken the time I needed and am ready to start back posting on a more regular schedule. So what better way to come back than with quite a few new posts, including this blue dress?! Woohoo! I’m pretty excited about it.

If you’ve been following my blog since the beginning of this year you have seen some awesome posts about my Fit Journey. Well i’ll update you more on that in a few weeks but right now, let’s talk about how stoked I am that I fit into this dress. My mom called me one night while I was volunteering at church and told me to come out to the parking lot. My heart raced, I had no idea what she was doing at church at that moment. I came outside and she was sitting in the car with a bag. This dress was in it. I opened the bag and fell in love immediately but was so sad to see it wasn’t my size. I looked at her and told her, it’s too small. She said, well just try it. So I took it home with me.

That night I tried it on and called my mom in tears. She barely answered the phone before I screamed, “It fits!!!” She laughed and told me that she knew it would. I had no idea I had lost enough weight to fit into it. She found it at Kohls and couldn’t pass it up. I’m so glad she didn’t! It’s my favorite dress!

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday! God bless!

Love my Crush Boots

| Boots: c/o Durango | Shirt: Target | Leggings: Target |

You all know how much I love cowgirl boots. That is one of the reasons I love getting to partner with Durango. They have some of the most beautiful boots that are beyond comfortable. Growing up in the Central Valley I have worn my fair share of boots and always love getting to wear my Durango’s. During the summer months I normally would pair my boots with a dress or jeans. However the day I shot these photos, there was a breeze so leggings seemed to be appropriate. I honestly love the look it gave this whole outfit.

I have had the shirt in today’s post for a while now. You may have remembered the maroon one from this post. Well I liked that shirt so much, I bought it in this color too. It is flowy and yet so flattering at the same time. I am a huge fan of Knox Rose from Target. That line has a variety of country approved clothing. Whether it’s a fringe cover up or a lose fitting blouse, it is so stylish and affordable. I knew this top would be the perfect addition to a pair of cowgirl boots. I wanted to show off my boots, so I threw on my favorite black leggings. This outfit was so easy to put together. It looks great and is so classy. Now we can’t have a country outfit without a glass of my moms sweet tea. Side note: I’m absolutely addicted to her sweet tea. I have had to cut back on it because it isn’t the healthiest, but man it is good. I grew up on it. My mom poured me a glass in one of her mason jars and we were set to go shoot some pictures.

I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday! God bless!
