What a day! I tell you there is nothing a girl can’t concur when she has a killer outfit, Lipsense on her lips and her best friends by her side.

My friends and I had been planning this girls day for weeks. When you all have such chaotic schedules, it is nice to finally land in the same place. As if girl time wasn’t a big enough reason to celebrate, we also got to celebrate my best friend getting engaged!

She called me the other day after texting me that she had some major news, I immediately knew. We facetimed and on her finger was the most gorgeous ring. Words can’t describe how happy I am for her. She deserves nothing but the best and i’m so over the moon excited for her. It was a day of celebrations and one that I will be grateful for for a long time.

We started out the day at Southside in Napa, which is one of my favorite local restaurants to eat at. From there we wandered up to Yountville to taste some bubbles at Chandon. Another favorite of mine. Then we met up with my friend Sally and headed to R + D Kitchen. I tell you what, the Thai Steak Noodle Salad is quite amazing. I highly recommend it. Then it was off to more wine tasting and ending the day at Orin Swift.

Not a bad way to ring in fall if you ask me! I have to tell you, I felt extra sassy today while rocking my Lipsense lipstick. There’s just something about a bold lip that really makes you feel extra outgoing. I am wearing the color, Napa, because let’s be honest, how fitting is it that I live here!

I have partnered up with one of my old friends from high school, Oyre, to give you a discount code for some Lipsense of your own! I am always so shocked when after a full day of eating and drinking, my lipstick still looks good. It’s pretty cool, i’ll admit it. Here’s the really cool part, if you want to try Lipsense for yourself, Oyre and I are offering a 10% discount with the code Graceful10. All you have to do is go to her Facebook page, or her Instagram and mention Graceful10.

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday! God bless!

A Day in San Francisco in Sofft Shoes

No that’s not a typo, these shoes are from the brand Sofft and they are so comfortable! Can you believe it? I actually have a new post on the blog!! I’m pretty much just as shocked as you are. However when opportunity knocks you have to take it. I had the opportunity to spend some time in San Francisco with one of my best friends yesterday. We both hadn’t been there in a while so we decided to take a day off and drive in from Napa. I decided that what better time to make my grand return to blogging than that?

We decided to head to get some brunch at the Ferry Building. Well little did I know i’d be walking six blocks in these heels, but hey, i’m always up for a challenge. I’m happy to report that my knee did great walking those six blocks in heels, my feet however on the way back decided to start screaming. Either way, the laughs and conversation was well worth the pain.

Now normally my mom is my photographer for this blog but that has proven to be quite the struggle since moving to Napa. Thankfully, my sweet friend Sally was up for the task. Okay, I didn’t really ask if she was, I kind of just say hey would you mind taking my picture when we go to SF and gave her my camera. Thankfully she took a few shots to warm up then acted like a pro. I was seriously impressed. I should mention that her day job is owning a bakery in Napa (Monday Bakery), but who knows, she may have photography in her future.

Oh the Laughs

I can honestly tell you that moving to Napa has had its fair share of challenges. So many things were thrown my way this summer and I honestly would have never kept my sanity if it weren’t for Sally. It was a life altering summer and God must have known I wouldn’t make it through without a friend to help keep my head in a good place. From the day I moved into my apartment Sally was so sweet. No seriously, she left me some sweets the weekend I moved in! I can’t begin to tell you how grateful I am that she was put in my life. She’s been a shoulder to cry on, an ear to vent to and a person who totally supports my love for good food. Our day trip to San Francisco was nothing short of hilarious. Every time we get together we can’t stop laughing. Our personalities are so similar and that makes for never having a dull moment.

Hope you all enjoy this outfit as much as I did. I can’t get over how slimming this dress is from Target’s new line, A New Day. I highly recommend snagging a few pieces before they are gone. So many great styles and for such affordable prices. Have a wonderful Thursday!

┬áSo sad that this is my last outfit post from my vacation in Texas. Although while editing these photos I could feel the humidity all over again. It was something else. I’ll take my dry California heat any day. I say that as today it was 108 degrees. I was so excited when I found out that we were going through Amarillo, Texas on our way home. You see Cadillac Ranch is there and I have wanted to see it ever since I was a little kid. It was pretty overwhelming when we walked up, as there was an overwhelming smell of spray paint. However it was still a sight to see. From all the pictures in magazines it always looked like it was out in the wide open space. Come to find out it is actually in the middle of a corn field.

I just knew I wanted to wear another pair of cowgirl boots for this post. I mean when in Texas, right? I knew this was the perfect pair. Although I was struggling to find what shirt I wanted to wear with it. Luckily my mom saved the day and let me borrow this top. It was lightweight and flowy, which with that heat, I was all about it. I was so excited to finally be able to check Cadillac Ranch off my bucket list. Although i’ll be honest, I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t more to see in Amarillo. At least we sure couldn’t find anything. But I did get to eat at my first Fuddruckers, so there’s that!

I’m already planning my next trips in the next couple of weeks and I couldn’t be more excited.

Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday! God bless!
