Pink Clutch from Sitting Pretty

I have a confession. I have become a pretty big fan of shopping via Instagram. So when I saw this pink clutch at one of my favorite stores, I just had to buy it. Thankfully the owners are so sweet and were more than willing to send it up to Napa. Every time I go home to visit, I just have to stop by Sitting Pretty in Chowchilla. They have the cutest outfits and accessories. I mean look, how cute is this pink clutch?

I stopped by my best friends store in Oakdale last weekend and was finally with my mom so she was able to take a few pictures of this outfit. Want to see the post from the store grand opening? You can see it here. We got to wander around the new store and hang out with my best friend and her mom. A few people laughed at me because they thought that I purposely matched the color scheme of the store with my outfit. I will say that was perfectly planned. Just kidding.

I tell you what, I truly miss doing all my photo shoots with my mom. Not having her live close to me has been an adjustment and I know that you all have noticed. I haven’t quite mastered the tripod photo shoots yet. I’m working on it though. 🙂

Thank you!

Thank you all so much for following along on this new and exciting journey. If you’re tired of not seeing posts that often, feel free to follow me on Instagram, i’m a lot more active on there. I hope you all have a great Friday and have a wonderful weekend. If you’re ever up near Napa, you know who to email. I’ve got plenty of recommendations of places to eat, drink and shop!

God bless!Cursive Signature

Tan Crossbody Bag Giveaway

I’m sure everyone knows by now that I went to Boston a few weeks ago. Knowing I was going to a place with some of the most amazing history, I had to take this Born Free shirt with me. Yes, it has taken me a “few” weeks to get my head on straight and finally sort out all my photos I took on vacation. It was my first time in the far North East and I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was. It was like stepping into a history book. We stayed in a very small town that seemed like it was in the middle of nowhere. However we discovered on the way to town one day that there was this adorable paper mill very close to where we were staying. It was really cool to see the smoke stacks during the day and I just loved the look of the building.

I had packed this outfit with hopes I would find an all American place to wear it. Well how much more American can you get than a paper mill? I stopped by Sitting Pretty in Chowchilla before I left on vacation. I was hoping to find a few tops that I could wear. Well, I had no idea that it would be so cold out there, so all the tops I bought, required a heavy jacket to be put over them so I could stay warm. I may have froze for the purpose of these photos, but it was totally worth it. So here’s the exciting part about today’s post. I’ve teamed up with Sitting Pretty to giveaway the tan version of the cross body purse (pictured in the last photo) i’m wearing in these photos. How exciting is that?! This purse was a life saver on vacation. It held quite a bit of stuff and was adorable with every outfit. Want to enter? Follow the instructions on the Rafflecopter widget below. Good luck!

Hope you all have a happy Sunday! God bless!

Can you believe that it is already February? Where did January go? I caught the worst cold/flu bug in January and I feel like it made the month fly by. February is one of my favorite months. There is snow on the ground, love in the air and the only time it is 100% acceptable to buy yourself a huge box of chocolates. I have definitely done that a time or two. Today i’m teaming up with Sitting Pretty for this post.

Valentine’s Day has always been one of my favorite days. Not because of all the hype around it but because of the fact it was made special by my dad for so many years. When I was little, my dad used to work for Budweiser. Every year on Valentine’s Day he would come to my school and while I was out to recess he would leave one single red rose on my desk. He then would leave his business card and on the back would write, “Happy Valentine’s Day! Love Dad.” The first few years were completely unexpected. I can’t tell you how special I felt in elementary school when I would come back from recess and see that rose.

When I got into Junior High it was still just as special. My friends would see his Bud van out in front of the school and before they could even call my name over the loud speaker, I would know he was here. I still have all the business cards he wrote on. I will cherish them for the rest of my life. Even when I didn’t have a Valentine I always had him. Well last year and this year, there’s a new Valentine in my life. His name would be Shane. My sweet sweet nephew is the light of my life and he was so sweet to take some pictures with me. How cute could he be with that flower? Be still my heart.

I decided this outfit would be the perfect date night outfit for Valentine’s Day. It is comfortable and so classy. I added this oversized shirt with a pair of my favorite leggings and boom, you’ve got an outfit! I found the shirt and necklace at Sitting Pretty in Chowchilla!

Here is the really exciting part of today’s post. It is a GIVEAWAY! I’ve teamed up with Sitting Pretty in Chowchilla, CA., to give you a few accessories for the perfect Valentine’s date night. Sitting Pretty is kind enough to give away the purse and necklace in the last photo of this post. Want to enter to win? Follow the instructions in the Rafflecopter link below to enter! Good luck! Winner will be chosen Sunday, February 7th and announced shortly after.

Have a great day! God bless!
