Napa Valley Welcome Sign

William Hill Winery

Let’s just call 2016 the year of silence on Michelle’s blog. I 100% admit that I failed miserably at keeping up with all my posts. I felt so bad every time I received an email, text or message from someone asking where my posts were. For those of you who were wondering, yes, I am still here. 2016 was a funny year. I celebrated so many things but also struggled with a few. It was the year of the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. But that’s life right? I am so grateful that God got me through it. I couldn’t have done it without my faith, family and friends. I’m thinking by now you all are assuming what I am going to say. Here’s a clue, it has to do with Napa Valley. 😉

Well for those of you not on my Instagram, yes, I moved to the beautiful wine country called Napa Valley. I can’t express how grateful I am to be here and feel so blessed that this opportunity presented itself. While everything transitioned very smoothly, it was not without struggle. I left a job that I felt very secure in. I left people that I not only considered as coworkers but as friends. I moved further away than I ever had before. All these insecurities would have been overwhelming had I not felt that God was tugging at my heart to make this change. He answered my prayers in a big way and I am grateful for a new adventure. I have always kept my job in the wine industry off this blog. Mainly because I have a lot of young readers and didn’t want them exposed to anything alcohol related. However, my readership demographic has changed a bit and just like my life, I am going to adapt and embrace it.

The wine industry is a big part of my life and i’m excited for a new chapter in the most beautiful place ever. I plan to share adventures, restaurants and experiences that I will get to enjoy! For the last 4 years I have let you all be apart of my life and this new move is quite a large part of my life now. Fashion is still a huge passion of mine and if you ask my parents how many clothes we had to move here, they would say its a borderline obsession. Just like everything else, my life has evolved into much more, just like this blog has. I’ve gone through relationships, friendships, travels, fitness journeys, new jobs, leadership opportunities and discovering a deeper faith that I never knew existed.

I hope you all find this new season of Graceful Glamour Girl exciting. I can’t express how happy I am that I get to experience this beautiful area and further my knowledge of wine. Please let me know if you have any recommendations of places I should see, eat at or shop at. I can’t wait to learn this valley inside and out.

Hope you have a happy Monday! God bless!

Did I mention how amazing the weather was the whole time I was in Napa? It was cloudy in the morning then gorgeous and sunny in the afternoons. Talk about perfect. It was so great to spend quality time with my family and get to relax. Living in California, I tend to forget how lucky we are that we have tons of vacation spots within hours of where I live. We have Napa Valley, Yosemite National Park, San Francisco and so many more. It is always nice to take extended weekend trips to see the sights that we often forget about.

There is just something about Napa that truly inspires me. Maybe it is the fact that this whole place has come to life because of grapes. That’s pretty inspiring right? I think so! I have been blessed to travel all over the country and see some pretty incredible places but truth be told, Napa will always be one of my favorites. There is an element of class here and that is what I love them most. I’ll take Napa over Vegas any day!

Now about the outfit. I found these navy blue shorts at the J.Crew Factory Store in the bay area a couple of weeks ago. I am OBSESSED with them. Their pattern is so distracting yet subtle. They are navy blue and white so they go with everything. I decided to wear this outfit into town the other day and it was perfect for walking the streets and shopping. It was so peaceful and beautiful.

Hope you all have a great weekend. God bless!

Alright time to get nostalgic, Napa Valley will always hold a special place in my heart for many reasons. This is actually where I was vacationing when I first thought about starting this blog. I was walking through some vineyards with my mom and she said I just had to post this somewhere because my outfit was adorable with the vineyards. Fast forward a year or two and here we go. I still remember it like it was yesterday. Another reason this is one of my favorite places is because, like I mentioned in another post, I work in the wine industry. There is just something about Napa Valley that intrigues me, so I guess I picked a great line of work.

Now about this outfit, first off, can we just take in the breathtaking view in the first photo? That was taken from the resort I was staying at. Can you say gorgeous? This past week was all about wine tasting attire and this outfit was no different. The weather was perfect during the day but a little chilly in the morning and at night. I was excited that it wasn’t too hot to wear jeans. Where I live, has been way too hot for jeans lately, so I couldn’t wait to pull these out.

I found this top at Kohls a few months ago and love how it can take a pair of jeans and class them up a bit. I wear it to work all the time with black pants and love how professional it looks. I bought these jeans at my favorite store in my hometown, Helen & Louise and found these shoes at Macy’s. So happy I was able to take a few days off and truly unplug. It was great to spend time with family and take it all in.

Have a great day. God bless!
