You know that moment where you immediately realized you seriously underestimated a situation? Well the look on my face in the last photo would be me realizing I seriously underestimated how cold it was outside. Yes that is my breath you can see to the left of my face. LOL. Now i’m a simple country girl from the valley and lately we have been experiencing some pretty cold weather. Or so I thought, but it was FREEZING up in Twain Harte. I figured I’d be fine with just a jacket, but nope. I needed my beenie, a scarf, my boots, boot socks, gloves and a hot drink. It was THAT cold.
While we were driving into town we saw these trees next to a parking lot that were loaded with snow. Naturally we had to stop and snap a few photos. I have never seen such beautifully packed trees. It looked like something out of a movie. It was so gorgeous.
Now onto the story behind this outfit. So my mom and sister found this plaid shirt at JCPenney last week. I was beyond mad when I had shrunk my favorite black and white plaid shirt in the dryer that morning. You can see the one i’m talking about here. So I left my house, beating myself up, ready to ball, (no I don’t cry over clothes, but I was sick too!) and I headed to a doctors appointment. When I got back this shirt was hanging in my closet with a note. It was so sweet and thoughtful of my sister and mom to find a shirt that would replace the one I shrunk. It has now become one of my favorite shirts. I paired it with this scarf I got from Christmas that can be found at Farmhouse in Turlock.
Stay warm out there! God bless!
