You know that moment where you immediately realized you seriously underestimated a situation? Well the look on my face in the last photo would be me realizing I seriously underestimated how cold it was outside. Yes that is my breath you can see to the left of my face. LOL. Now i’m a simple country girl from the valley and lately we have been experiencing some pretty cold weather. Or so I thought, but it was FREEZING up in Twain Harte. I figured I’d be fine with just a jacket, but nope. I needed my beenie, a scarf, my boots, boot socks, gloves and a hot drink. It was THAT cold.

While we were driving into town we saw these trees next to a parking lot that were loaded with snow. Naturally we had to stop and snap a few photos. I have never seen such beautifully packed trees. It looked like something out of a movie. It was so gorgeous.

Now onto the story behind this outfit. So my mom and sister found this plaid shirt at JCPenney last week. I was beyond mad when I had shrunk my favorite black and white plaid shirt in the dryer that morning. You can see the one i’m talking about here. So I left my house, beating myself up, ready to ball, (no I don’t cry over clothes, but I was sick too!) and I headed to a doctors appointment. When I got back this shirt was hanging in my closet with a note. It was so sweet and thoughtful of my sister and mom to find a shirt that would replace the one I shrunk. It has now become one of my favorite shirts. I paired it with this scarf I got from Christmas that can be found at Farmhouse in Turlock.

Stay warm out there! God bless!

So there we were, searching for a Christmas tree lot, and instead decided to pull over and take pictures in front of these beautiful fall trees. Fall is absolutely one of my favorite times of year. The colors are gorgeous, the leaves are falling and there is just something about the smell of fall in the air. It’s the best.

Sunday was a rare day for me, I actually was able to relax and bum around. Sometimes when you are on the go non stop, you just need a day to chill, sleep in and take it slow. Sunday was that day for me. In addition to going to look for a Christmas tree for my parents house, I was able to go shopping at Nordstrom Rack, one of my favorite stores. I came home with a Kate Spade wallet that I am absolutely obsessed with.

Anyway, we pulled off the highway to go to a Christmas tree farm and was greeted with these beautiful trees and a little deer. It was so crazy to see a deer right outside the city and loved watching it walk through the trees behind me. I was given this burgundy scarf when I went to NYC two years ago and love when it gets cold enough to get to wear it. MissMe was kind enough to send me these jeans a while back and sad to say, I completely forgot I own them. I was ecstatic when I found them in my closet. My mom told me that clearly I need to start wearing this outfit more, she just loves it!

Hope you all are having a great week. God bless!

So today’s post is all about the nails! I am always a huge fan of bold colors and this nail polish is no different. This red is so gorgeous and pops perfectly against this bright yellow jacket and Vince Camuto skirt. I had bought this skirt a couple weeks ago at Nordstrom Rack’s clear the rack event and couldn’t believe the deal I got on it! I knew exactly what I was going to pair it with and was so excited with the outcome. As soon as I was sent this nail polish by LAQA & Co., I knew it would be the perfect match for this bright outfit.

I am a bit of a hoarder when it comes to nail polishes. I have no problem confessing that I tend to keep nail polishes for years. That being said I am also super picky about my nail polishes. I was very impressed as soon as I painted my nails because this polish goes on so smooth. I hate when a polish comes out clumped or super sticky. I seriously am so excited to have found such a gorgeous polish! Thanks so much to LAQA & Co., for sending it over! It’s perfect!

Thanks so much for your patience for new posts while I was on vacation! Hope you all have a great day! God Bless!
