This weekend I took a much needed relaxation day and went to the coast with my parents. It has been so hot in the valley and I for one and just about over it. We spent a day at an antique show in Moss Landing then went off to Monterey for some yummy seafood. I will admit I am not one for antiques and really only went for cooler weather and seafood. There were over 200 vendors on the main street in Moss Landing and felt like we were walking forever. We were slowly making our way back to the car when my mom noticed this adorable building off to the side called The Haute Enchilada. I fell in love with this building. No joke, the bright colors and the train car in the front yard was too cute. My mom had the great idea to snap a few photos in front of the building.

I was so excited to wear this outfit to the coast because it is long sleeve and is way too hot to wear in the valley. The weather was perfect and there was a cool breeze with a pretty cloud cover. I had originally bought this shirt to wear with leggings because it is over sized and long enough to cover my legs. I decided to tie up this shirt to make it more fitted and more decorative. I added my favorite pair of Hudson jeans and some adorable jeweled flip flops. Couldn’t forget my Tory Burch bag. I swear this bag matches every outfit.

Hope you guys have a great Tuesday! God Bless!

You know that moment when you walk into a store, find an adorable dress, feverishly look through all the sizes to find the one that will fit you and it’s not there? Not there, as in they don’t even carry or make the dress in the size you need? Yea, me too… So frustrating. Luckily I stumbled upon Gwynnie Bee. An online monthly rental service for clothes ranging from sizes 10-32.

Now lets talk about something I don’t know if I’ve really talked about on my blog before. My weight. I used to be 75 pounds sopping wet up until my junior year of high school. I was so skinny I could literally fit through a plastic coat hanger (Don’t ask how I figured that out please lol). I don’t think that was exactly healthy. I have put on some pounds over the last 10+ years and although some may see me as heavy or curvy, I see myself as healthy. I exercise regularly, eat pretty healthy and stay very active.

There have been so many judgments passed my way because of my weight over the years and the only time I tend to pay attention to them is when i’m shopping for clothes. I am not entirely sure why most clothing brands think that women’s bodies should fit into 10 and below. Honestly, I range from an 8 to a 14! Yes, that is shocking to read i’m sure. It’s shocking for me to say but it’s the truth. It is incredibly frustrating, even for a fashion blogger who has a voice in this body obsessed culture of ours. Luckily Gwynnie Bee contacted me with a collaboration opportunity and I jumped at it. The only interaction I had with this company before this was seeing their Facebook advertisements all over my news feed, kudos to their marketing team on that one!

I had always been curious about what they had to offer and let me tell you, I am very impressed and thrilled with what they have. They were more than kind enough to send me some samples to try out and I immediately fell in love with this summer dress.  Not only did it fit in all the right places but wasn’t overly baggy or mega tight. The perfect fit, which seems to be a struggle for my body with other clothing companies.  I had such a fun time playing dress up in all the outfits they sent my way but this was my favorite by far. I highly recommend you look into their monthly subscription if you struggle with finding the perfect fit like I do.

In other exciting news, Gwynnie Bee and People StyleWatch are holding a contest to win a free year subscription to Gwynnie Bee. Follow the link here to enter!

Hope you all have a great day and God bless!

Did I mention how amazing the weather was the whole time I was in Napa? It was cloudy in the morning then gorgeous and sunny in the afternoons. Talk about perfect. It was so great to spend quality time with my family and get to relax. Living in California, I tend to forget how lucky we are that we have tons of vacation spots within hours of where I live. We have Napa Valley, Yosemite National Park, San Francisco and so many more. It is always nice to take extended weekend trips to see the sights that we often forget about.

There is just something about Napa that truly inspires me. Maybe it is the fact that this whole place has come to life because of grapes. That’s pretty inspiring right? I think so! I have been blessed to travel all over the country and see some pretty incredible places but truth be told, Napa will always be one of my favorites. There is an element of class here and that is what I love them most. I’ll take Napa over Vegas any day!

Now about the outfit. I found these navy blue shorts at the J.Crew Factory Store in the bay area a couple of weeks ago. I am OBSESSED with them. Their pattern is so distracting yet subtle. They are navy blue and white so they go with everything. I decided to wear this outfit into town the other day and it was perfect for walking the streets and shopping. It was so peaceful and beautiful.

Hope you all have a great weekend. God bless!
