Floral in Fall

Although I know it is officially Fall, it still feels like Summer in California. We are talking 100 degrees this week. So over it. So until I have to wear a sweater, I am going to continue wearing floral and Summer dresses. For those of you on the East Coast, you can laugh and I won’t judge. I found this dress at NordstromRack a few days ago and just had to buy it. It was on sale, we are talking like super cheap, so that was all the motivation I needed to buy it. I paired it with a purse that Big Buddha sent me a few months back and my new favorite sandals. I’ve already worn it to work and can’t believe how comfortable it is.

But this post isn’t just about the dress or the outfit. This post is about the smile on my face. I can honestly say I am happier than I have been the last few months and feel this overwhelming peace about my life right now. It wasn’t easy to get here and surely was not quick, but i’m here and that is all that matters. Life will always throw you curveballs and unexpected situations, but how you handle them is equally as important as why they are happening. A lot of lessons have been learned this Summer and I know I will look back and laugh at all the madness.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! God bless!

There is nothing quite like a beautiful sky after a storm passes through town. A few weeks ago that was exactly what happened. I grabbed the camera, my sister and ran outside. The result? A dark sky in the background. I was really excited when experts started saying that El Nino was going to be big this winter. I shined my rain boots and bought this adorable pink trench coat to prepare. Sadly, I don’t think it was as big of a deal as they thought it was going to be. Either way, I wear this trench coat every time it rains. I have to get my moneys worth after all.

I paired this coat with one of my favorite brown scarves, a pair of Hudson jeans and these great booties I found at TJ Maxx a few months ago. It was a great combo for the weather and so feminine. I found this trench coat at Nordstrom Rack in the Bay Area a few months ago. I went shopping with one of my best friends and didn’t find a thing, well until we were on our way out of the store. This jacket caught my eye and as soon as I picked it up there was another lady asking me if I was going to purchase it. I said yes, and then tried it on. It was a steal, so I was buying it for someone! My friend Melinda was kind enough to stand in the long line at the store with me while I bought this jacket. Honestly, it is one of my favorite purchases I have ever made.

Hope you all have a wonderful day! God bless!Cursive Signature

Experimenting with new colors in your wardrobe can be exciting and yet scary at the same time.  Most people that I have talked to are chronic black and white offenders.  Now that is not a bad thing by any means however the newest trends have moved on from black and white to more coral’s and teals.  These are what I like to call classy colorsWhenever I feel like I need a touch of color I default to coral and this outfit from Christina’s is no different.

This awesome blazer from Karen Kane is to die for! I absolutely love the short sleeves and the neckline.
These Yellowbox shoes are way too cute! I love the straps and how perfect is this color?!
I went for a softer look for this outfit because lets face it not everyone likes bright and bold.  This Big Buddha purse and David Kahn capris are perfect.
Christina always has a wide variety of adorable and affordable jewelry in her Wednesday night Facebook Page sales! How awesome is the one I’m wearing?!
Thanks again to Christina for another awesome outfit! So many cute outfits so little time! Everyone head over to Christina’s who will be having a HUGE Yellowbox shoe sale starting tomorrow through Tuesday! You won’t want to miss out!!!
