To say I have been trying to post this outfit for months is a serious understatement. I have had this outfit since October and every time I tried to do a shoot with it, it never worked out. I was so excited for it to finally happen last weekend! I found this dress at a Banana Republic factory store at the bottom of the Grapevine. They added some new outlet stores just south of Bakersfield which made me a happy camper! They also have a Potterybarn outlet there too!

This dress is so comfortable and very forgiving. I am not a huge fan of wearing stripes but for some reason this dress caught my eye and I decided to try it on. I’m so glad I did because it has become a staple in my closet. This is my go to for the days when I feel like I have nothing to wear. Yes, even fashion bloggers have those days. I like to add leggings or tights under most of my dresses. Especially when I’m going to the office, I don’t like any possibility of a dress being too short. I like to keep it classy and make sure that all my outfits look Jackie Kennedy worthy! Ha ha. Sometimes I fail but then again don’t we all. I added this hot pink scarf for a pop of color and think its a great accent piece. What are some of your favorite go to items in your closet?

Hope you all have a great day! God bless!

Do you ever have one of those days where you’ve been shopping for hours and haven’t found a single item to buy? Not because you didn’t want to but because nothing fit right, looked right or was way to expensive? Well the day I bought this skirt, that was the day I was having. I was striking out completely. I was frustrated and ready to head home when I just happened to walk by Anthropologie’s window display. I saw this skirt and had to go in to try it on. I fell in love with it and didn’t want to take it off. It is the perfect neutral skirt. It isn’t too short, it has flattering pleats and the color combination is perfect.

I purchased the skirt, obviously and now consider it one of my favorite skirts. I have been wearing it with leggings because it has been absolutely freezing here. Okay in reality it’s no where near as cold as other places but for me, it is really cold. Speaking of cold, I paired this skirt with my favorite black coat. I bought this DKNY coat seven years ago. I bought it for a trip I was taking to the east coast. I remember buying it like it was yesterday. My mom was irritated I had waited till two days before my trip to buy a coat. I had no idea it would remain a staple coat in my closet for seven years. It’s perfect for almost every outfit.

What does your favorite coat look like? Hope you all have a great day today!

God Bless!

I decided to pull out one of my favorite dresses in my closet and style a completely different way than I did last time I wore it. I previously featured this dress on my blog (here) and love how versatile this dress is. Like I have mentioned numerous times before, living in the country definitely has its perks. I can dress up in heels and then dress up in boots and it is completely acceptable either way! I went out to one of my favorite places near my hometown and was so excited that they had their Farmers’ Market set up! I actually was headed to the store after this shoot so I saved time and got my veggies here instead!

These boots have been my obsession ever since I got them Durango! They are so comfortable and seriously super stylish! I wear them with dresses, jeans and skirts. It is always fun to challenge myself when it comes to my outfits and love when they turn out like this one did. I was completely happy with my outfit and with the fact I got my veggies fresh from the farm. Don’t forget you can now shop my posts below! Hope you all have a great day! God Bless!
