How To Style A Blue Gingham Dress

Now THIS, this is my kind of weather. High 70’s low 80’s. I think this is the kind of weather that all other 49 states think about when they talk about California sunshine. Now if only it could stay like this for a while without going back up again. Since I am honestly loving this weather, I thought it would be a great idea to showcase this dress today. Because everyone needs to know how to style a blue gingham dress. I bought it at Nordstrom Rack a few weeks ago. I definitely didn’t mind paying $36 for it either. I love snagging great deals. That is why Nordstrom Rack is one of my favorite places to shop.

I am an advocate for buying things that are of a high quality. That being said, I am also an advocate for buying things on sale. So when those two worlds collide, they almost always do so at Nordstrom Rack. If you haven’t shopped there before, I highly recommend it. This Eliza J dress is by far one of my favorites. I love that is has sleeves. I am not a huge fan of my arms so I tend to try to find ways to high them as much as possible. So when I tried this dress on and it fit, it was love.

I added these comfortable sandals in again, yes i’m aware i’ve worn them in the last three posts. They are just too comfortable to not showcase. I have to hand it to Aerosoles, they sure have stepped up their shoe game in the last few years. I used to hate buying their shoes because they didn’t really embody my personality, but now, they are hip, young and pretty darn cute! Don’t forget to grab a purse that offsets the color of the dress. Of course hot pink did the trick!

I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday and enjoy this cooler weather! God bless!

Floral in Fall

Although I know it is officially Fall, it still feels like Summer in California. We are talking 100 degrees this week. So over it. So until I have to wear a sweater, I am going to continue wearing floral and Summer dresses. For those of you on the East Coast, you can laugh and I won’t judge. I found this dress at NordstromRack a few days ago and just had to buy it. It was on sale, we are talking like super cheap, so that was all the motivation I needed to buy it. I paired it with a purse that Big Buddha sent me a few months back and my new favorite sandals. I’ve already worn it to work and can’t believe how comfortable it is.

But this post isn’t just about the dress or the outfit. This post is about the smile on my face. I can honestly say I am happier than I have been the last few months and feel this overwhelming peace about my life right now. It wasn’t easy to get here and surely was not quick, but i’m here and that is all that matters. Life will always throw you curveballs and unexpected situations, but how you handle them is equally as important as why they are happening. A lot of lessons have been learned this Summer and I know I will look back and laugh at all the madness.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! God bless!

Yes, that’s right. I’m back. After a very long hiatus over the summer, I am finally back to blogging. Sincere apologies for taking so long to post new outfits, but this summer was a crazy one. Now enough about me. How about these sandals? I am constantly on the search for the most comfortable shoes. I have a serious knee issue and the more comfortable I am while walking, the better. I spent the last week in Seattle attending MozCon for work. Unfortunately the shoes I packed did more harm than good. After one day, I needed a new pair of shoes. Lucky for me, there was an Aerosoles store right around the corner from my hotel. After the conference was done for the day, I went shopping.

I have been buying Aerosoles for years. These shoes have been a life saver for almost any occasion. I wear them to work, weddings, shopping days or just to lounge around. They seriously are beyond comfortable. I highly recommend purchasing a pair if you hate wearing uncomfortable shoes like I do.

You’ll also notice I got a new purse. I have to share all about it of course. I have been wanting a Louis Vuitton purse for YEARS. However, up until this point, I haven’t wanted to spend the money. Well I decided to start saving for one and finally took the plunge when I was in Las Vegas a few months ago. I can’t tell you enough how much I love this purse. It represents so much more than just a thing to hold all my stuff. I saved for it, worked hard for it and am so excited I was able to purchase it.

So happy to be back in the blogging world, you guys. I have missed you all and can’t wait to share new outfits in the coming days and weeks! Hope you all have been doing well and have a great Monday! God bless!
